Save the date for the 4th Annual PsychFriday Mini-Conference at the Hoover Library on April 3rd from 9-1:30! The conference is an initiative of the Samford University Psychology Department in collaboration with the Hoover Public Library. Students (and the general public) are exposed to a variety of psychological topics relevant to the AP/Introductory course through a conference speaker as well as shorter concurrent sessions on a variety of psychology topics from which they can choose. The day ends with an hour of interactive demonstration sessions and a trivia game focusing on Psychology topics.Teachers will be eligible for 4 hours of professional development. During the lunch hour there will be an opportunity to dialogue with Samford University Professors as well as develop a collaborative network with peers. The conference is free with a 10.00 charge for student lunches. Teacher lunches are free. Schools needing help covering cost of substitutes or student lunches are supported.The conference is funded through a Society for the Teaching of Psychology grant spearheaded by Stephen Chew, PhD., Professor of Psychology at Samford University, in coordination with the Hoover Public Library.
