“After more than twenty years of teaching and tutoring students at college preparatory independent schools, I have the experience and qualifications necessary to be a subject tutor in Spanish, Math and/or Economics. As a veteran educator, I know that working one-on-one with students makes a big difference. I have taught every level of Spanish from first grade through AP Spanish Language and Literature, I have taught high school and college math through Calculus, and I have taught Microeconomics at the college level. I was a College Board AP Spanish Language reader for several years until my school’s schedule conflicted with that.I tailor my teaching to meet the students’ needs and to their learning style. I use a variety of techniques – everything from songs to kinesthetics – to make learning as fun as possible. Educators like me know that lowering the affective filter is the most effective way for students to learn. I am extremely patient, kind and understanding and always maximize my time with my students. I am passionate that rigorous but exciting academic enrichment is the key to students’ success. I will work relentlessly to help my students reach their potential.”
