This Holiday break, embrace your creative side with Sci-Tech Discovery Center’s Maker Workshops! These workshops will explore a variety of maker disciplines such as Technology, art, and woodworking through hands-on activities led by our maker coordinators. Morning Workshops 10:30-11:30 a.m. Afternoon Workshops 1:30-2:30 p.m. $20 members $25 non members Pre-registration required. Spaces fill up fast! Fees secure a spot for 1 participating adult or child per class. Parents are welcome to register alongside their child and join in the workshop. Non-participating parents and siblings receive entry to the museum at our discounted rate of $7.Tuesday, Nov. 26 1st-3rd grades 10:30 a.m. Gyotaku Fish Prints Explore the printmaking technique used by Japanese fishermen to record the size and type of fish they caught. 1:30 p.m. Anatomy Attack: Cow Eyeball How do we “see”? We will dissect a cow eyeball and learn the parts of an eye.4th-6th grades 10:30 a.m. Anatomy Attack: Sheep’s Heart Learn how your heart works to keep our bodies healthy and strong.
