Game Workshop is the leading manufacturer of science fiction and fantasy miniatures globally. The games are played using collections or (as they are more commonly known) armies of toy soldiers. Games Workshop’s miniatures are sold unassembled and unpainted. Building and painting one of model kits is much like building a model car or airplane, the major difference being that you can play a game with the models when you are finished. The Warhammer hobby is enjoyed by millions of enthusiastic hobbyists across the world and is supported by a vibrant global community.

The Warhammer hobby has many benefits that extend beyond being an enjoyable pastime. Participation in the hobby requires the practice of real world skills. The Warhammer School Club encourages its young people to take on challenging roles and responsibilities as they run the club and teach others about the exciting Warhammer hobby. As students engage in the Warhammer hobby, they will read and apply information from complex informational texts, explore mathematical computation and probability, and creatively engage in art and design. This fact has been noticed by educators and many schools around the world foster Warhammer clubs.

Warhammer School Clubs place a definite focus on student-centered learning. By putting the Warhammer School Club in the hands of students, participants develop practical personal and professional skills while building an inclusive community and promoting a sense of fellowship and belonging among their peers.
